Firefly in My Pocket Debuted in Berlinale’s Generation Kplus Competition
Hungarian animation talent Feiner Janka presented her MA masterwork Lángbogár a zsebemben (Fire in My Pocket) in the Generation Kplus competition program of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).
The project was produced with the support of the Hungarian National Film Institute (NFI) as part of the animation MA program at MOME Anim.
The film’s soundscape was composed by Csaba Kalotás and Bálint Szabó, while editing was handled by Béla Balázs Award–winning editor Judit Czakó. The ten-minute film offers a magical journey into a fantastical mushroom world, blending stop-motion techniques with digital hand-drawn animation to create a distinctive visual style. Beyond its enchanting imagery, the film also provides a sensitive glimpse into children’s inner emotional landscapes.
