EuroCine Expo Budapest 2026 to Spotlight Animation Industry Presence

The Hungarian Animation Producers Association (HAPA) will showcase the strength of Hungary’s animation industry at EuroCine Expo Budapest 2026, taking place on May 8–9 at Hungexpo. Visitors can meet ten Hungarian animation studios at HAPA stand CK01.

The Budapest edition marks the latest expansion of the EuroCine Expo network, which already runs successful events in London and Munich, now bringing its internationally focused B2B film industry platform to Hungary.

For the upcoming event, a strong lineup of leading Hungarian studios will be present, including Cub Animation, Derengő Animation, DIGIC Pictures, KEDD Animation Studio, Liberty Productions, Salto Film, Umatik Entertainment, Kecskemétfilm, Ionart Studios, and Cinemon Entertainment, showcasing the diversity and international quality of Hungary’s animation.

HAPA will also take part in a dedicated animation roundtable discussion titled Future of Animation on May 8 at 10:30 (room f1). The session will feature key industry voices including Zsuzsa Vincze, Director of the Center for Film at MOME and member of the Senate; László Zakariás (producer, Wonder Visuals); and Bálint Gelley (animation director and producer, HAPA board member), offering insights into current trends and future directions in animation.

Held in Hall G of Hungexpo, spanning 4,500 square meters, the expo will also feature professional programs in the adjacent Congress Center across two levels. The event is expected to attract approximately 2,500 visitors per day, with around one-third of attendees coming from international markets. Exhibitors will arrive from across the globe, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, and the wider region.

EuroCine Expo Budapest will focus on international business networking, film technologies and production capacities, as well as showcasing studios, filming locations, art departments, and industry services.

The program includes networking events and parties, talks, symposiums, roundtables, screenings, and industry meetups—creating a dynamic space for collaboration and exchange.
