In honor of György Ligeti’s 100th centennial, two iconic works of the Hungarian composer and conceptualist are reimagined: Symphonic Poem for 100 Metronomes and the Chamber Concerto (excerpt).
100 metronomes are arranged around the visitor, their clicks resonating through the space, each beat physically perceptible from the first to the very last.
The first movement of the Chamber Concerto conducted by Dénes-Worowski Marcell, sonically adapted by Esteban de la Torre, and visualized in 360° by media artist András Juhász. A hypnotic reflection on time, rhythm, and the space between sound and image.
