Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival is Hungary’s most important international platform for emerging filmmakers, offering a high-profile showcase for European and Hungarian short films. Since its establishment in 2013 the festival has built a strong reputation as a dynamic, audience-driven event that bridges the gap between young talents and the professional film industry. In 2025, Friss Hús will enter a new phase of international recognition, gaining Oscar-qualifying status for the films awarded with Best Hungarian Short Animation and Best Hungarian Live-Action prizes.
