Ferenc Cakó

Ferenc Cakó was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1950, graduated from the Hungarian College of Fina Arts in Budapest, earning his degree in Applied Graphics in 1973.

During his college years he won first prizes for his animated films at the National Amateur Film Festival. After graduation he was invited to work at Pannonia Film Studio where he worked as designer, director and animator from 1973 to 1991.

In the field of classic 3D animation he directed many series and nearly 30 short films by using the techniques of sand, puppet, clay, object and papercut animation.

Out of many awards and prizes he received his outstanding achievements for his films inspired by fine arts, created mainly by sand and sculpture animation.
